چکیده

The objective of this study was to determine the activities lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine (ALT) in milk blood lactating Holstein cows investigate their association with subclinical mastitis (SCM). This also aims evaluate impact SCM its severity based on California test (CMT) scores above mentioned enzymes, as well efficiency use an early predictive diagnostic tool. Thirty multiparous, dairy were examined using CMT according obtained results classified into four groups; control group 1 (SCM-free = 10, score 0), 2 (weak positive 8, +1), 3 (positive 7, +2) 4 (strong 5, +3). LDH, ALP, GGT significantly higher groups compared group. LDH activity mean ALP than 2. other groups. There a significant between enzymes (ALP GGT) cows. showed that causes considerable changes infected

Prevalence and Risk Factors of Subclinical Mastitis in Iranian Holstein Cows

The present study aimed to estimate the effects of parity, calving season and year of calving on the prevalence of subclinical mastitis in Holstein cows. A total of 2682 records from 869 Holstein cows in a large dairy farm (Azarbaijan province, Iran), respecting the period from 2006 to 2009, were collected. Data was analyzed using Proc Mixed of SAS software by MIVQUE method. Subclinical mastiti...

Fractionized milk composition in dairy cows with subclinical mastitis

Mastitis is the inflammatory reaction of the udder to invading pathogens. One of the most apparent reactions is the increased influx of immunoreactive cells from blood into milk inducing a dramatic increase of milk somatic cell counts (SCC). We have investigated (i) the relationship between log SCC/ml in infected quarters being >6 (n = 8, group I) or varying between 5.4 and 6 (n = 8, group II) ...

The effect of subclinical mastitis on milk composition in dairy cows

Milk samples were collected from quarters of 35 cows with subclinical mastitis (California mastitis test [CMT] positive and somatic cell counts [SCC] >500,000 cells/ml in individual quarter foremilk), as well as from 37 healthy controls. Compared to the levels observed in milk from healthy quarters, milk from quarters with subclinical mastitis showed elevated sodium (91.97 vs 52.93 mg/dl), chlo...

Determination of milk and blood concentrations of lipopolysaccharide-binding protein in cows with naturally acquired subclinical and clinical mastitis.

Blood and milk concentrations of the acute phase protein lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP) were evaluated in cows with naturally occurring mastitis. Blood and milk samples were collected from 101 clinically healthy dairy cows and 17 dairy cows diagnosed with clinical mastitis, and the LBP concentrations of the samples were measured by an ELISA. Concentrations of LBP were greater in the b...

Identification of Streptococcus canis isolated from milk of dairy cows with subclinical mastitis.

Streptococcus canis was isolated from 31 milk samples from 11 cows in a dairy herd (with 49 lactating cows) affected by subclinical mastitis in north Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Thirty-one isolates from the infected udder quarters were further characterized for their phenotypic and molecular properties. Most isolates (83.9%) produced alpha-galactosidase, and all were negative for beta-d-glucuron...
